“Hard Times (All Around)” is the second single from The Nude Party’s Upcoming album, Rides On, due out on March 10th. The band consists of members Austin Brose, Alec Castillo, Shaun Couture, Patton Magee, Don Merrill, Conor Mikita, and Jon “Catfish” Delorme.

“Hard Times (All Around)” originally came about as a demo by Merrill, played on piano. Magee heard it, and took inspiration from the Bentley Brothers' 1929 track, “(Hard Times) Down on Penny’s Farm” and by Bob Dylan's“Hard Times in New York Town.”

“Thinking about the folks in the country, and our friends in the city. Thinking about hurricanes and the Supreme Court. How much we are at the mercy of big movements we can’t control. How life gets hard on every one of us, with no exceptions. And feeling something heavy, but ultimately brotherly about all that” (Source.)

‘Hard Times (All Around)” deals with the concept that everyone goes through hard times,

“hard times in Tennessee lead to hard times in New York town.”

Sonically, the song is similar to the album's title track, “Ride On” with a twangy sound reminiscent of the Rolling Stones’ Sticky Fingers album. “Hard Times (All Around)” is self-described by the band as “breezy desert dust encapsulated by the ‘70s infused” (source.)

“Hard Times (All Around)” is available for streaming on all platforms now.
